These thoughts are the dialogue that pop into your head all day and take no effort to create.
How are ANT's different?
These are negative automatic thoughts that cause negative distorted thinking. ANT's can be; negative ideas about ourselves, the world, and the future. ANT's tend to affect overall happiness and mental health.
How do we fix ANT's? CBT is a great modality when working with ANT's. These thoughts can create anxiety, which then leads to the overthinking of these thoughts. Counselling is a great way to understand these thoughts and manage your anxiety. The goal is to identify destructive thought patterns, develop strategies for challenging these thoughts, and then creating more constructive thought patterns.
